You can either learn the cooking skill from your mother-in-law or join cooking class, then you can improve even faster! You have the basic skill just need to practise more then will get better idea from cooking recipe (sometimes I find those recipe a bit difficult to understand, hehe). I learnt cooking from my mum since young and I love cooking! <br /><br />Easiet way to make soup is to buy a thermo-pot. No gas no electricity is required. Throw in everything (meat or herbal or vege), boil for 5 minutes, put the pot into the thermo-pot and you will have a nice hot soup, soft meat after 5-6 hours depend on the ingredients that you put in.
